Dirty Bingo Shibari Demos

One of the most Awesome things accomplished this past year

was being able to get on some more “Alternative” stages…

I’ve been performing since I was little, but that was mostly in a choral setting.

Nowadays, I enjoy breaking out of the conventional box and trying different styles of performance Art.

One of these new types of performances was Shibari Demos at Dirty Bingo. 

Some of my girlfriends in Portland host a weekly Dirty Bingo

at a favorite Local watering hole, the Nest.

Sometimes they invite guest hosts, drag queens, or entertainment for intermission,

and sometimes when I’m in town I’m Lucky enough to have the opportunity to make an appearance.

I’ve been bottoming in Shibari for the past 5 years and self-tying for the past two-ish.

One of my favorite things (besides self-suspension) is teaching Safety and simple ties.

I Love connecting about the Art with people who were previously interested,

but maybe were otherwise uncertain, unclear, or unsafe in their proceedings.

Value your Safety, Never tie with anyone who isn’t prepared!!!

Alcohol and other additives may impair your judgement

and can cause psychological responses that do not go well with being restrained. 

We want everyone to have a good time,

but we also want to avoid trips to the emergency room!!!

Believe me, you don’t wanna have that awkward conversation with the nurse…
